Ivy's Original
As well as perfecting her recipe for wonderful cheese, Ivy Clothier also turned her hand to making a Farmhouse Butter. Slightly salted to give it a pleasing tang, it was served up for the workers in the fields of Wyke Farms and it soon became a firm favourite. Spread over a thick slice of freshly baked bread, it truly is the taste of the country.
What makes it so delicious? Well, like all our cheese, it’s made on the farm not in a factory. And today we also make Unsalted Ivy's Original too. And, naturally, we still use traditional methods of production. Mmm, it all sounds so delicious, why not butter another slice – oh, you already have.
